CHAPTER 14

Evelyn was every pervert’s wet dream.

She was my wet dream.

Yeah, I shared her with Preston, I allowed him to have a taste of her, it was what she wanted, after all. So, I gave it to her. I’m going to give her everything she wants. I also gave her a lesson. I showed her she didn’t want him, not like she wanted me. There wasn’t the beast with the two of them that existed between she and I, the one that was hungry and wild, the one that demanded we tear each other apart every time we were near each other.

He feasted last night.

I wasn’t gentle with Evelyn, not like the first time, but she didn’t want me to be. I couldn’t have been even if I wanted to, and I didn’t want to. If she wants to be at an event, she needed a true introduction of what to expect. I gave it to her.

It was fucking fantastic.

She will be at a party, and it will be here, at my house. If I’m going to play the game, it’ll be on my court, under my terms, and under my control. I’ll set up the game and I’ll invite all of the important players. They’ll come, I’m absolutely certain they wouldn’t miss it for a fucking thing. The sick bastards probably hope a dead woman pops up; it’d finally be something they’d never seen before.

I left Evelyn early this morning fast asleep in my bed. She was glorious, a wrecked, content, fucking mess of an angel that had a freak inside of her who had been dying to come out.

Happy birthday sweet little freak angel. Let’s have some cake.

This will be the first time an event will be held at my house. The truth is, I never bring anyone here, not much has changed since the garage apartment, I guess some habits never die. I like my privacy, and I don’t much like people. It works out well; people don’t like me either.

There’s a lot of work to do to prepare for an event, it’s a good thing I’ve done hundreds of them over the years, I could do it in my sleep. The only drawback is I want it to happen in a weeks’ time. I want this shit over with, and I want it over now.

The fervor of my arrest is still hot, it’s best to ride that wave while it’s still cresting. The sick minions will come flocking, especially when they hear I’m bringing a special guest to accompany me. I’ve never brought anyone to a party. They’ll come for that alone. The problem is I’m not doing it to show off Storm.

If I were honest, she’ll be the main attraction for the killer.

I have absolutely no doubt they will be there.

Most all the year-round residents on South Harbor Island have been here a long time, if not their whole life. Everyone knows about my father’s murder trial and the drug trial Evelyn and I were a part of.
